Regulated dental tariffs and no nasty surprises
Introduced in 1976, the dental fee schedule was the first medical fee schedule established on the basis of sound economic management principles. The tariff partners did not set the prices for the various services arbitrarily or on the basis of politically negotiated costs: they calculated them on the basis of the economic data of an average dental practice, taking into account Swiss legal hygiene requirements and the value of Swiss staff salaries.
The dental tariff lists more than 500 dental procedures. A certain number of points is assigned to each of these services. The price of each service is obtained by multiplying the corresponding number of points by the applicable point value.
Our point value ranges from CHF 1.03 to CHF 1.15 depending on the treatment. The maximum value allowed by the Swiss Dental Association is CHF 1.70. We offer interest-free installment payment plans.
We are happy to provide detailed estimates after an examination at the practice by one of our dentists.
Teeth cleaning performed by our hygienists is billed at a point value of $1.03. The cost ranges from $154.50 for minor cleaning to $186.85 for extensive cleaning. X-rays are not included in this price. You can find more information on the “Teeth Cleaning” page of our website.
